Does tooth whitening damage or weaken my teeth?
No, however, it is recommended that you bleach your teeth only under the care of a dentist. The chemicals that are used to lift the stains out of your teeth can make them temporarily sensitive to cold temperature or mildly irritate your gums and throat. Even though these mild side effects are transient, your dentist can monitor and offer ways to ease the discomfort.
The consumer market has been flooded with tooth whitening remedies; however, the predictability of their results cannot surpass the dramatic results and effectiveness a dentist can provide. As a result, it is advisable to remain under a dentist's care when bleaching your teeth.
